On behalf of the student-led organizational committee for the 2012 Harvard Latino Law, Policy, and Business Conference, we invite you to attend this year’s conference, entitled The Rising Latino: Latinos in the United States, and Latin America on the World Stage.

The Harvard Latino Law, Policy and Business Conference is jointly hosted by students from the Harvard Law School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Harvard Business School on April 13-15, 2012.  Now entering its 15th year, the conference features Latino leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors to discuss issues of importance to the Latino community.  One of the longest Latino traditions at Harvard, the conference has sparked dialogue across disciplines, provided networking opportunities among students, alumni, and professionals; and inspired the next generation of Latino leaders.

This year’s conference theme The Rising Latino will address the growing prominence of Latino communities in the United States, and Latin America on the world stage. The rise of Latinos (economically, demographically, and politically) presents exciting new opportunities for our communities, yet also brings to light new challenges and responsibilities. The conference will bring together national and international Latino leaders and academic experts to provide diverse perspectives on these changing tides, while emphasizing the path toward a more optimistic future.
